Apple’s plans for Black History Month may end with iOS 16.3 launch earlier than expected

To celebrate Black History Month in February, Apple is rolling out this year’s Black Unity Collection featuring a special edition Sport Loop for select Apple Watch models as well as new curated collections and content for various iOS platforms.

Black Unity Sports Loop 2023 (opens in a new tab) made of closely woven yarn that spells out the word “Unity” using the same colors of red, green and black to represent the Pan-African flag; like last year’s offer. The strap comes in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, which can fit the “Apple Watch SE, Series 4 Apple Watch or newer, and [the] Apple Watch Ultra (45mm band only).” Apple Watch and iPhone owners can also download Pan-African watch face and phone wallpapers sometime next week. However, both designs claim their respective devices are running watchOS 9.3 and iOS 16.3; both of which have not yet been officially released at the time of writing. They are both in beta right now.
