Betty Gilpin, Jai Courtney, and Dane DeHaan Among 11 Cast Members Added to Taylor Kitsch-Led Netflix Limited Series AMERICAN PRIMEVAL – GeekTyrant

Netflix has hired eleven new cast members for its upcoming limited series Prime Minister of Americaset to star Taylor Kitsch. He will be involved in the six-part limited series at Jay Courtney, Kyle Bradley Davis, Dane DeHaan, Betty Gilpin, Nick Hargrove, Derek Hinkey, Saura Lightfoot Leon, Preston moat, Shawnee Pourier, Joe Tippettand Shea Whigham.

Prime Minister of America is described as “a raw, adventurous exploration of the birth of the American West. Violent clashes of cultures, religions and communities as men and women fight and die to gain control of this new world – for the country they truly believe is their destiny. The ensemble tells a story about the sacrifice each person must pay when they choose to enter a lawless and nameless desert.” As previously announced, Kitsch will play Isaac, who is said to be “a traumatized man struggling to overcome his demons and find a reason to live in this brutal and punishing world.”

Mark L. Smith (Ultach) writing series to produce, with Peter Berg (Bright Friday Night, Hancock) is attached to executive produce and direct all episodes as the first project under his first-look deal with Netflix via Film 44.

curtain (Kaleidoscope, Suicide Squad) will play Virgil Cutter, described as “a trap and bounty hunter who sees opportunity in the naiveté of others.” Davis (American Horror Story, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will play Tilly – one of Cutter’s heroes. The character is further described as “a bold, dangerous man who doesn’t mind killing and likes it when others fear him.”

DeHaan (Oppenheimer, Stair) will play Jacob Pratt, “a Mormon who led his family across the border to join other settlers in Utah.” Gilpin (Gaslit, GLOW) stars as Sara Rowell, who is said to be “an extremely talented woman with an air of mischief and grace who is out of place in Fort Bridger as she seeks a guide across the border for herself and her son, Devin (Mota).

Hargrove (Devotion) will play Cottrell, who is described as “a young man who helps around Fort Bridger and acts as Jim Bridger’s (Whigham) right-hand man. Hinkey (Walker Independence, Horizon) will play Red Feather, “the leader of a renegade group of Crow warriors called the Clans of the Wolf.”

Leon Lightfoot (Hoard, Masters of the Air) will play Abish, “a Mormon woman who is not happy to be seen as the property of her husband, Jacob (DeHaan). Moth (Asteroid city) playing Devin Rowell, descrbed as “a sensitive soul with a curious mind.” Pourier (Stranger Things, Dark Wind) who will play Two Moons, is said to be “a young girl who runs away from her village with a strong will and a drive to survive at all costs.” Tippett (Mare of Easttown, The Morning Show) will play James Wolsey, “a Mormon man leading a militia of men who don’t have the moral code they say they do.” Finally, Whigham (Joker, Empire boardwalk) will play Jim Bridger, “a grizzled but decent man. Bridger runs Fort of the name, a popular place for settlers and trappers.”
