Jonathan Frakes Is Not Hopeful For Future STAR TREK Movies Unless Abrams And Tarantino “Get A F****ing Movie Made!” — GeekTyrant

Paramount Pictures is looking for a new one Trek star a film off the ground for many years with the producer JJ Abrams. This is one of their biggest franchises, and they never seem to get a new movie in the franchise going! It’s crazy because there was some really awesome talent involved Quentin Tarantino and Noah Hawleybut after Star trek longerthe TV side of things is moving the franchise forward in really cool ways!

In the latest issue of SFX Magazine, Trek star veteran Jonathan Frakes he talked about the future of the franchise, and as for the filming side of things, he’s not optimistic. He said:

“Movies are tough! Even JJ [Abrams] This fourth movie just can’t get off the ground. All those great rumors? Noah Hawley was attached to a ‘Star Trek’ film, and Quentin was discussing people’s feelings about making a film. If those two names can’t get *** a movie made, I don’t know. Television is the future, it seems to me.”

Yes, he is right. Television seems to be the future of the franchise. Sure, it would be great to see another one Trek star adventure on the big screen, but it must be excellent! It has to meet the standards of storytelling we’re seeing right now Trek star shows, and none of the more recent movies have reached that bar.

A fourth Trek star Abrams movie was in the works for a while, and it would have been seen Chris PaineCaptain Kirk agrees with his father, played by Chris Hemsworth. There was an interesting story, but they never managed to put it together. There have been various other attempts to make a film since then, the most recent being the one in question Matt Shakman (WandaVision) directing. But it fell through, and that project has since been shelved.

As for the TV side of things, Frakes was very involved Star Trek: Picard and after the arrival of the third and final season, he thinks there is still an opportunity to expand the story and keep some of these characters going. He said:

“I hope the road leads to another series. The set-up is clearly there, as you will see, by the end of the season. It seems to me that the characters should work in this final season of ‘Picard,’ out. , are primed for another journey. I’m definitely hopeful. I think it might be the end of the ‘Picard’ story, but I’m not sure it’s the end of the ‘Next Generation’ story. That’s the vibe. I’m the eternal optimist.I’m sure it’s what [showrunner] Terry [Matalas] Would like!”

Hell, yes! Let’s keep that The Next Generation story going! I’m totally up for that! So maybe we’re not getting anything new Trek star movies anytime soon, but there are a lot of terrible things happening with the shows that the fans are enjoying. It’s so funny because Star wars He is having the same issue right now!
