Hello reality TV fans! Hello TV friends! Hello strategy gamers! I have come (like a cloaked messenger in the night) to deliver your new favorite reality TV sensation: The Traitors!
The Traitorswhich is based on a Dutch show, basically just a big Mafia game (also known as Werewolf and similar Among Us) puts 20 contestants in a Scottish castle and makes them take it down for $250,000.
First, let’s talk about the solutions. Twenty people. Ten are reality TV stars. Ten are normies who are mostly honest, but they don’t care. Let me introduce our famous players though.
First, we have two Survivor alumni, starting with the amazing Cirie Fields.
The other one Survivor Kendrick is a Stephenie LaGrossa alum.
Moving on to Survivorsister show on CBS, Big brotherwe have Cody Calafiore.
There is no higher Big brother royalty, however, is Rachel Reilly.
While we are talking about it Big brothermaybe we’ll also discuss Brandi Glanville, a reality TV legend who appeared on it celebrity big brother 1 free,.
Other Celebrity Big Brother alum is Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
Pivoting into the world of Bravolebrities, we have Kyle Cooke from Summer House.
There is one too Bachelor Nation star: Arie Luyendyk Jr.
And last but not least, we have THE QUEEN herself Kate Chastain from Below Deck.
Like I said, there are 10 other contestants, but they don’t matter. Someone who really matters, though, is Alan Cumming, who serves as the incredible host of the show.
But back to the game! So, 20 contestants arrive at the castle, and Cumming informs them that some will be “Traitors” and the rest will be “Loyal”.
If the Faithfuls can eliminate all the Traitors by the end of the game, they will split the money. If, however, a Traitor can make it in the end, they will take home the entire prize pot and leave the Loyalists with nothing.
Every night, the Traitors gather and choose a loyal person to murder.
Always in a fun way, the contestants come to the breakfast room every morning a few in a row, before it is revealed which contestant has been murdered, and therefore, is not entitled to eat the continental breakfast.
The surviving contestants are always lonely, and it’s fun to watch the Traitors try to pretend they’re also surprised at who’s alive and who isn’t.
Then, Alan and X find a portrait of the dead person, and he informs the other players about the “mission” of the day.
The missions, which are the least exciting part of the show, allow cast members to earn money that goes into the prize pot at the end.
The missions, however, are VIBE and include church bells…
Spinning on a creepy old Ferris wheel…
And in my favorite mission of the season, rolling large barrels through the countryside for miles.
After the mission, the team returns to the mansion to strategize about who they think might be Traitors and prepare for the “Round Table.”
Then, everyone files in for the Round Table, which is the best part of every episode. The whole group speculates on who they think the Traitors are before voting to “expel” a Traitor. When eliminated by the contestant, the contestant will reveal whether he is a Traitor or a Loyal.
Usually, the group votes Faithful out, which is cathartic for the audience because everyone is sooooooooo self righteous, and usually, they’re wrong.
The 10 episode series is a MUST if you love strategy based reality TV, and also a MUST if you want to see Alan wear some of the best outfits ever put together.
And this mid-part/broach combo.
TL; Dr The Traitors My obsession is reality TV. I need everyone to watch it, and I need a second season without any norm. It is available to stream exclusively on Peacock.
